Upgrading your Windows system to the latest os version of Microsoft, Windows 8.1 is easy. But normally they don't allow you to download the iso file directly. So if you need to upgrade your Windows system to Windows 8.1 you have to directly download from Windows Store (if you are a Windows 8 user) or from their upgrade manager. But if you want to save the iso file of Windows 8.1 for later use you are out of luck. But their is a simple trick which can be used to download original Windows 8.1 iso file for later use like creating bootable disk or bootable usb drive. Here is the trick below....

You have to follow the below instructions step by step...

1. Atfirst go to this official link for Windows 8.1 upgradation.
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

2. Then click on the button indicating "install Windows 8". It will download a setup file. Save it and run it.

3. The setup will prompt you for original Windows 8 key. Type the key you got when you bought Windows 8 and then click continue.

4. When download starts click close button of the setup window. It will prompt you to be sure to close the setup. Click yes. then the setup will be closed.

5. Then go back to the official link from where you downloaded the setup file to install windows 8. Here now click on the "install Windows 8.1" button. It will download a setup file. Save it and run it.

6. This time automatically Windows 8.1 will start downloading. Wait for the download to be finished.

7. Once the ISO finishes downloading, the installer will take several minutes to check the download and uncompress the install files. When you're prompted to choose an installation option, click "Install by creating media."

8. Choose whether you want the installer to create the usb flash drive bootable or simply save the iso file in your computer hard disk.
